Charlie Lee Urges Investors to Concentrate on Long-term

Image
Charlie Lee, the originator of the Litecoin cryptocurrency, crypto investors have nothing to worry about if they can keep their eyes on the focused long-term. “It’s all about speculation these days, but in the future, the price will reflect the success of cryptocurrencies,” he told CNBC. Lee further emphasized that short-term price movements don’t necessarily tell us anything about the success of cryptocurrencies and that it is crucial for investors to keep their eyes on the long-term trend instead. Giving this year as an example, the Litecoin creator said that we have seen “so much adoption in bitcoin and litecoin, but the price has dropped like 60% or 70%.” When asked, he believes bitcoin will come back to its all-time high of approximately USD 20,000; Lee pointed out that although he’s been in the space for seven years now, it’s hard to predict prices, saying “sometimes it comes back within six months, sometimes it takes three or four years.” Regarding investing in

Six things you don’t know about trading bitcoin

Image
The retail investors who want to put their toes into cryptocurrency to diversify their portfolios are facing a dangerous, volatile market – virtual currencies have lost $350 billion in value year-to-date due to orders from regulators & hacking. Cryptocurrency market, which consists major digital currencies and bitcoin, crumbled June 22 as the majority of the coins dipped by up to 10 percent due to six exchanges in Japan that were ordered by the Financial Services Agency, its financial watchdog, to upgrade their current practices, and as two exchanges site was bugged (hacked) within an 11-day period. So losing billions of dollars in market cap for cryptocurrencies is not unusual. In December, bitcoin reached a high of $20,000 but falls to $8,500 by mid-March. Virtual currencies are facing more losses due to hackers, and within the past two weeks, $70 million of cryptocurrency seized. Bitcoin is now trading less than $6,000. What is the Future technology of mobile phones: What we saw at Mobile World Congress 2018

Image
At Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona, all the buzz was about the future technology of mobile phones. On the surface, smartphones might seem to evolve slowly — after all, last year’s Mobile World Congress saw us going backward with the Nokia 3310. Beyond that, compare first-generation iPhone circa 2007 to today’s iPhone 8 or iPhone X. Sure, the latter is thinner and sleeker, more significant,  but they have the same rounded edges, home screen, and icon layout. Don’t judge any other smartphones, or iPhones, by their covers. The inside has evolved so much more substantially. With each innovation in sensor technology, wireless functionality and even manufacturing materials, cameras,  smartphones are now capable of smarter and smarter tasks, paving the way for the future technology of mobile phones. What can you expect to see at Mobile World Congress 2019? Now based on industry research and emerging technology, This is just five predictions for the future technology of mobile phon

Gorilla Corning Glass 6 will protect your next phone from 15 drops in a row.

Image
Gorilla Corning's Glass covers the displays of Apple phones, LG, Samsung and many more, and two years after the last refresh, Corning has just unveiled Gorilla Glass 6. Now more durable than ever, the new covering glass can survive up to 15 successive drops from a meter (39 inches) high. Wouldn't recommend putting it to the test right away – that number of successive survived drops is an average, so your mileage may vary. Nevertheless, it should come as some relief if you've got a tendency to let your smartphone slip from your hand. Not yet confirmed which phones are going to make use of the new glass, but if it isn't the remaining flagships of 2018, it should be attached to at least some of the top phones of 2019. "Gorilla Glass 6 is an entirely new glass composition that can be chemically strengthened to give it significantly higher levels of compression than is possible with Gorilla Glass 5," says Corning's vice president of technology and p

Bitcoin Shows Dogged Resilience while Altcoins See Red,

Image
Cryptocurrency markets are somewhat bearish today, August 21, with virtually all of the top twenty coins by market cap seeing losses of 3-6 percent on average. Bitcoin (BTC) continues to show relative resilience – the top coin nevertheless continues to trade below the $6,500 price point. Despite a short-lived market recovery August 17, most of this week has seen distinctly lackluster price performance across the board. The hangover of mid-August’s market crash continues. Bitcoin is seeing virtually no change over the past 24 hours at press time, trading at around $6,400, according to Cointelegraph’s Bitcoin price index. Although a brief plummet down to $6,260 yesterday at midnight, the coin has pushed back to trade within the $6,400-5000 range for most of today. Bitcoin weekly chart has secured a 6.3 percent gain – the asset’s monthly losses remain at a stark 13.4 percent. Ethereum (ETH) is trading around $277.5 at press time, down around 4 percent on the day. The second cons

Cryptocurrencies News

Image
Cryptocurrency defined as a digital currency built with cryptographic protocols that make transactions secure and hard to fake. The most important feature of a cryptocurrency is that any central authority does not control it: the decentralized nature of blockchain makes cryptocurrency theoretically immune to the old ways of government interference and control. Cryptocurrencies are more straightforward to conduct any transactions, for transfers are simplified through the use of private and public keys for privacy purposes and security. These transfers can be done with small processing fees, allowing users to avoid the steep fees charged by traditional financial institutions. The latest news on cryptocurrencies indicates that because cryptocurrencies are devoid of a central repository, a digital cryptocurrency balance can be wiped out by a computer crash, a hack, and other unexpected events.

Pepsi cola to Buy SodaStream for $3.2 Billion in Shift to Healthier Drinks

Image
PepsiCo Inc. has agreed to purchase SodaStream Int Ltd., at $3.2 billion, the latest move by the cola giant to diversify away from sugary sodas and salty snacks. Israel-native SodaStream produces a countertop machine that allows consumers to carbonate beverages and tap water at home by filling a reusable bottle and flavoring with an array of syrups. The Nasdaq-listed company has in recent focus on promoting herself as a maker of homemade sparkling water instead of a maker of homemade soda. PepsiCo had previously test-sold its cola with SodaStream machines in a few dozen stores, describing the experience at the time as a learning opportunity. From the beginning of 2018 PepsiCo has been under pressure to restructure its North America beverage business amid weak sales of its core brands Pepsi-Cola, Mountain Dew and Gatorade. The sales slump came after the company last year shifted too much healthier brands shelf space and advertising money to new. The soda giant’s deal to buy

Kaspersky Labs' recent anti-virus and cybersecurity report suggest that in the second quarter of 2018 cybercriminals stole more than $ 2.3 million through cryptographic scams. The report, titled "Spam and identity theft in the second quarter of 2018," points out that "cyber-criminals" are a ubiquitous example of identity theft. A promotion is introducing cryptocurrencies. In these phishing fraudsters, innocent individuals are deceived by voluntarily giving up valuable information about persuasive but malicious copies of popular cryptographic portfolios and markets. Kaspersky says cybercriminals also represent new Initial Coin Offering (ICO) money-raising projects from potential investors trying to buy chips on alleged early events. The report also notes that Kaspersky's anti-theft system prevented 58,000 attempts to connect users to the phishing website in the second quarter of 2018. In addition to the description of different types of fraud, the quarterly r
